December 16, 2019 was the 75th Anniversary of the start of the Battle of the Bulge and US Army Ardennes-Alsace Campaign. January 25, 1945 was its official victorious end. The final Allied advance into Germany could begin. Belgium and Luxembourg thanked American forces for liberating them and Winston Churchill declared the Battle of the Bulge was “the greatest American battle of the war, and will, I believe, be regarded as an ever famous American victory.” The following divisions participated in the Battle of the Bulge and US Army Ardennes-Alsace Campaign, and then advanced to the Rhine and into the heart of Germany and Europe until Germany finally surrendered in Berlin on May 9, 1945 and Victory in Europe was declared.

On arrival at Paris (CDG), check into our easily accessible 4-star airport hotel. Time to relax after your flight or to visit Paris independently.
DAY 3 THU APR 30 PARIS (CDG) - LA ROCHE GUYON - GIVERNY - CAEN - BAYEUX
Visit the German Field Marshal Rommel's HQ, home of the great Impressionist painter Monet, Memoriale WWII Museum, and the 1000 year old Cathedral City with its world famous Bayeux Tapestry.
DAY 4 FRI MAY 1 BAYEUX
A full day tour of WWII Normandy landings via Normandy American Cemetery (wreath laying ceremony), Omaha Beach, Pointe Du Hoc (Ranger's assault), Ste Mère Èglise (Airborne landings), and Utah Beach. Enjoy some free time in Bayeux.
DAY 5 SAT MAY 2 BAYEUX - PARIS
Visit the Falaise Gap, the site of final German defeat in Normandy. Return to PARIS (CDG) and meet up with the arriving Main Tour participants.

DAY 3. SUN MAY 3 PARIS (CDG) - REIMS - LUXEMBOURG CITY
Visit WWI Battlefields, Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF) HQ where the initial German surrender to Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower took place, Gen. Omar Bradley's 12th Army Group HQ, and Gen. George S. Patton's Third Army HQ.
DAY 4 MON MAY 4 LUXEMBOURG CITY - DIEKIRCH - ETTELBRUCK - NOUTEM - BASTOGNE - LUXEMBOURG CITY
Full day tour of Battle of the Bulge southern battlefields including Luxembourg American Cemetery where we will visit Gen. George S. Patton's grave and attend a wreath laying ceremony, Luxembourg's National Museum of Military History, Statue of Gen. George S. Patton), Schumann's Eck, Mardasson, which is the main Belgian Bulge Memorial, area in Bastogne where German Bulge offensive was broken. At the end of the day we return to Luxembourg City.
DAY 5 TUE MAY 5 LUXEMBOURG CITY - SAINT VITH - MALMEDY - AACHEN
Full day tour of the northern battlefields including St. Vith where the German Bulge Offensive was first checked, Malmedy site of a massacre), Elsenborn Ridge where the German advance was blocked, Siegfried Line a German defense line, explore Charlemagne's 1000 year old historic cathedral city of Aachen.
DAY 6 WED MAY 6 AACHEN - COLOGNE - BERLIN
Visit Remagen Bridge, which was a vital American Rhine bridgehead, have a lunch break and continue sightseeing in Cologne, and enjoy our time on a German ICE Express train to Berlin.
DAY 7 & 8 THU MAY 7 and FRI MAY 8 BERLIN
We will have two full days of Berlin V-E Day Festivities and historic city sightseeing including Frederick the Great's Potsdam and Wannsee House of the 'Holocaust' Conference.
SAT MAY 9 BERLIN - USA
You are welcome to stay longer and take in more sights of Berlin. Berlin has two airports; Schönefeld SXF and Tegel TXL. The airport closer to the hotel is Tegel TXL.
