Patrick Hinchy always keeps the best interest of the veterans in mind during his tours. My family and I very much enjoyed the Tour that commemorated the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in December 2014. Patrick is extremely knowledgeable - he helped us understand the history of all the places we visited. We took part in many ceremonies and met several significant people. I was thrilled to be able to visit places in Belgium that were significant to me during the war, e.g. St Vith, Bastogne, Aachen and Gouvy. We also visited Parker’s Crossroads - where a significant battle took place in December 1944.
I highly recommend Patrick Hinchy as a Tour Director.
I highly recommend Patrick Hinchy as a Tour Director.
Having had the recent pleasure of touring numerous historic sites and WWII European battlefields from Normandy through Luxembourg, Belgium, and Germany with Patrick Hinchy, our historian and tour guide, I can certainly attest to the breadth and depth of Patrick’s subject matter expertise. Remarkably, his blending of in-depth knowledge of complex WWII battle strategies of both the Allies and the Axis powers, along with his understanding of the local terrain and languages, brings all of the tour locations and points of interest into crystal clear focus. Truly, it’s as if you’re right there alongside the combatants...Eisenhour, Patton, Rommel, Peiper and more. Amazingly, throughout the entire tour, Patrick’s personable and friendly demeanor gives the entire experience the feeling of an enlightening stroll through history while chatting with a longtime friend. Thanks in large part to Patrick Hinchy and his wonderful tour leadership, these unique experiences are sure to form vivid memories that will last a lifetime.
I attended the 70th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge Commemoration Tour to Belgium and Luxembourg in December 2014. There were 10 Veterans who actually fought in the battle in our group - many of whom shared their stories with us. Our Tour Director, Patrick Hinchy, planned a well-paced program that honored our Veterans. He is truly an expert on military history. He explained the relevance of sites of the Battle of the Bulge that we visited. He made it easy for us to understand and he invited the Veterans to share their perspective- making it even more interesting. It was humbling to meet the grateful citizens who honored us with receptions and wreath laying ceremonies. The trip was especially meaningful for me because I set foot on the soil where my father served as a military surgeon. I felt his spirit beside me every day of the tour. It was a truly memorable experience and I appreciate Patrick Hinchy for his expertise in making the tour one that I will hold deep in my heart.
